For those of you living (like I) under a rock last few months -- [Node.js](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Node.js) is an I/O framework enabling writing programs in [JS](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JavaScript). Yeah, no browser needed. Yeah, with filesystem access, sockets and the like. Yeah, one could write an http server in it (or, for that matter, a webapp, server-side).
